To promote high-quality research and support global academic advancement, the Unveiling Seven Continents Yearbook Journal (U7Y Journal) is pleased to announce the Research Excellence Awards 2029.

These awards recognize the most outstanding scholarly papers published in the journal during the 2027 publication year. Winners will be officially announced in March 2029.

🏆 Award Categories

  • First Prize (Best Paper of the Year): USD 20,000

  • Second Prize: USD 10,000

  • Third Prize: USD 5,000

In addition to the financial award, all three winning authors (or author teams) will receive a full refund of their Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the awarded paper.

📌 Eligibility

All authors whose papers are published in any U7Y Journal issue during the 2027 calendar year are automatically considered. No separate application or nomination is required.

To qualify, papers must be:

  • Published in a 2027 issue of U7Y Journal.

  • Peer-reviewed and accepted through the standard editorial process.

  • Of any standard article type (e.g., Research Articles, Review Papers, Case Studies, Conceptual Papers, Short Communications).

  • Note: Co-authored papers are fully eligible.

📌 Evaluation & Selection Criteria

The Editorial Board will evaluate each eligible paper based on the following criteria:

  • Academic Merit: Exceptional originality and genuine novelty of the topic; theoretical contribution or advancement of knowledge; methodological rigor; and the quality of data, analysis, and conclusions.

  • Scholarly Impact: Potential to influence future research; relevance to academic and professional communities; and contribution to global knowledge across continents.

  • Quality of Writing & Presentation: Structure, coherence, clarity, proper referencing, and strict academic integrity.

  • Ethical Standards: Full compliance with international scholarly ethics, absence of misconduct, and transparency of data and findings.

  • Eligibility Period: 1 January – 31 December 2027

  • Review & Evaluation:  2028

  • Announcement Date: March 2029 (Results will be published on the U7Y Journal website)

⚖️ Rights, Obligations & Transparency

  • Open Access: Awarded papers remain fully open access under CC BY 4.0 licensing.

  • Promotion: Recipients may publicly list the award for academic CVs, promotions, or institutional reporting. U7Y Journal reserves the right to feature winning papers for promotional purposes and to highlight the authors’ profiles and research impact.

  • Independence: The awards do not influence editorial decisions for future submissions. The selection process is conducted solely by the U7Y Editorial Board with full editorial independence, following international standards of scholarly publishing.

  • Threshold of Excellence: These awards are strictly reserved for research demonstrating exceptional novelty and breakthrough contributions. Merely being published in the journal does not guarantee award placement. If fewer than 10 papers published during the year meet these rigorous standards of excellence, U7Y Journal reserves the right to withhold, adjust, or cancel the awards for that cycle.
