The Pillars of Peer Review
The Pillars of Peer Review at Unveiling Seven Continents Yearbook Journal: ISBM, SIU, and ISB Academy
Peer review forms the backbone of academic publishing, ensuring that each published work meets the highest standards of rigor, ethics, and scholarly integrity. The Unveiling Seven Continents Yearbook Journal (U7Y) draws its academic strength from three distinguished institutions across three countries: ISBM Switzerland; SIU Kyrgyzstan; and ISB Dubai. Together, these institutions form the main peer-review bodies of U7Y, combining European precision, Central Asian academic tradition, and Dubai’s global educational outlook.
Introduction
Peer review lies at the heart of academic credibility. For a young journal like U7Y, backed by multiple international institutions, the peer-review process guarantees that every article undergoes critical academic scrutiny before publication. By involving three separate institutions — each with its own academic traditions and quality assurance frameworks — U7Y ensures a multi-layered, transparent, and ethical review process that aligns with global publishing standards.
The Three Institutional Pillars of Peer Review
1. ISBM School – Luzern, Switzerland
ISBM brings global academic precision and quality assurance into U7Y’s peer-review process. ISBM is governed by European academic traditions, emphasizing clarity, quality metrics, and ethical standards. Reviewers from ISBM contribute expertise in business, management, and hospitality research, ensuring that U7Y articles meet both academic and practical relevance.

2. SIU University – Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic
As the central academic hub of U7Y, SIU provides institutional oversight and a broad academic base. Licensed by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education & Science, SIU contributes faculty reviewers with backgrounds in law, economics, social sciences, and technology. This creates an interdisciplinary review structure, aligning with international best practices while incorporating regional academic strengths from Central Asia.

3. ISB Academy – Dubai, UAE
Representing the Middle Eastern academic dimension, ISB Academy in Dubai adds a vocational and applied sciences perspective to U7Y’s peer-review process. Approved by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), ISB ensures that U7Y articles maintain industry relevance, particularly in management, education technology, and professional training.
A Unique Cross-Border Review Model
What makes U7Y’s peer-review system unique is its tri-continental collaboration:
-
European rigor from Switzerland
-
Central Asian academic depth from Kyrgyzstan
-
Middle Eastern innovation focus from Dubai
This three-body collaboration ensures that every manuscript undergoes multiple layers of evaluation before acceptance. The process integrates ethical compliance, academic relevance, and global applicability, reflecting U7Y’s mission to be a truly international academic journal.
